A Pause...

Just wanted to let you know that something exciting is on the horizon and all efforts are focused there. I will let you know more as soon as I can. While you wait, here's some chocolate stout cake! -Scarlet

Todd Loves Kristen

I collaborated with one of my mentors, Deborah Spencer, on the design and production of this platinum and diamond engagement ring and matching wedding band to nestle up against it.

The ring is imbued with love. Todd described what it would symbolize during our initial consultation paying great attention to detail. He shared experiences they'd had, his adoration, and his love for Kristen. All this inspired the design.

Daydreaming of the Tropics...

It's cold and drizzly in Portland today. Surf Camp in Costa Rica is on my mind. This is my daily routine:

- Wake up with the sun rise
- Enjoy fresh mango, banana, avocado, eggs and local coffee
- Surf all morning
- Eat fresh fish tacos and fruit juice
- Swim with my sweetheart
- Nap in the hammock
- Surf until sunset
- Eat amazing seafood
- Dance with my amigos until drenched
- Sleep hard until dawn

These are the earrings I'd wear non-stop, along with a selection of bikinis, flipflops and a pair of galoshes.

Let's do a fashion photoshoot in the tropics someday. Who wants to come along?

Texture in Jewelry

This bracelet is one of my all-time favorites, it is made of Faceted Garnets, 14k Gold and Freshwater Pearls. I love the texture and how the gemstone fringe hangs delicately off the wrist. Weaving chains is a technique I discovered years ago on accident. I incoporated it into my collection immediately! Pair this with your gold bangles or on it's own.

As seen in...

Double-Drop Freshwater Pearl Earrings featured in Portland Bride & Groom are a lovely option for a modern bride. I wear my pair casually with hair up in a messy bun, a few bangles at the wrist, and a long grey summer dress.

Rings!

I made these prototypes at jewelry school in New York before my trip to London & Barcelona. They could use a little polishing, but I do love the texture. The Feather Knucklebuster made of sterling silver and brass has attracted the eyes of some serious fashionistas. The Open Heart ring is made of sterling silver and has a flat bottom edge making it very comfortable. I'm loving the metal these days and loving stacking my rings, too!
